Overview:

The DJI Dock 3 is a rugged, fully automated drone station designed for continuous, remote operation. It supports 24/7 aerial coverage and is DJI’s first dock that can be mounted on vehicles. The system includes either the Matrice 4D (daylight) or Matrice 4TD (thermal) enterprise drones, both using advanced camera suites with wide, medium, and telephoto lenses plus a laser rangefinder. Dock 3 operates autonomously in harsh environments, housed in a climate-controlled, IP56-rated enclosure. It can function in extreme temperatures from –30 °C to 50 °C. The electronics are sealed and thermoregulated. The Matrice 4D/4TD drones have IP55 water/dust resistance and low-noise anti-ice propellers, allowing for all-weather deployment without manual sheltering or maintenance. With a rapid “Open and Fly” mode, drones can be launched in seconds along pre-set routes (e.g., 1 km at 100 m altitude in ~100 seconds), providing fast situational awareness.
